The 28th Internet Based International Arbiter Certification Seminar was held from 15 to 23 August 2026, organised by the FIDE Commission for Women’s Chess and the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission under the auspices of FIDE.
The seminar was conducted in English and featured two FIDE Lecturers, IA Alex McFarlane (SCO) and IA Sabrina de San Vicente (URU).
A total of 24 FIDE Arbiters representing 23 National Federations – Albania, Algeria, Bangladesh, China, Colombia, Egypt, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, Kenya, Morocco, Malaysia, Oman, Panama, Peru, the Philippines, Scotland, Slovenia, Serbia, Thailand, Türkiye and Zimbabwe – took part in the seminar.
All participants attended the full programme and all lecture sessions throughout the seminar.
