On 17–18 October 2026, the FIDE Commission for Women’s Chess held an online Advanced Swiss-Manager Seminar, bringing together 30 participants from 29 countries across four continents.
The seminar was led by International Arbiter Michael Joseph Pagaran, with Yilmaz Kartal providing technical support and coordinating the event. All participants received an electronic certificate of participation.
The seminar offered women in chess an opportunity to develop their technical skills and deepen their knowledge of Swiss-Manager, supporting their continued development in chess administration and arbiting.
The FIDE Commission for Women’s Chess is pleased to create opportunities for women to gain new skills, expand their knowledge and take on new roles in the chess world. By supporting professional development and making learning opportunities accessible internationally, we hope to encourage more women to pursue their ambitions and contribute to chess in different capacities.
