Events dedicated to women in chess offer a unique space where they can compete, learn, and support each other in a comfortable and encouraging environment.

As part of the global Chess Women’s Day Celebration, the FIDE Commission for Women’s Chess is proud to support the 3rd Queens Rapid Chess Tournament 2025 in Nairobi, Kenya. This exciting FIDE-rated event, organized in collaboration with Chess Kenya, will take place on March 8th at the Clarion Hotel.

The tournament will feature seven intense rounds of rapid chess, bringing together talented female players to showcase their skills and determination. With a prize fund of Ksh. 50,000, competitors will have the chance to battle for top awards while contributing to the growth of women’s chess in the region.
