FIDE WOM Commission Announces Educative FIDE Arbiter Seminar for Women National Arbiters

The FIDE Commission for Women’s Chess (WOM) is pleased to announce the Educative FIDE Arbiter Seminar, an online educational opportunity designed exclusively for women National Arbiters (NAs).

The seminar will take place on 21–22 November 2026, with sessions running from 10:00 to 19:00 Central European Time (CET) on both days.

The seminar will be conducted online via Zoom, with IA Swapnil Bansod as the lecturer. Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of chess arbitration, learn more about the responsibilities of FIDE arbiters and further develop their understanding of the field.

It is important to note that this is an educational seminar only. There will be no examination, and participation will not result in the award of a FIDE Arbiter (FA) norm. The seminar is intended to provide an opportunity for learning and professional development rather than formal qualification.

The seminar is free of charge. However, places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
