The FIDE Womenโ€™s Grand Prix Series has started in Tbilisi with the 1st event of the series!

The event will take place from 14th till 25th August and 10 players will fight for 80 thousand euros prize fund, and most important – Grand Prix points and place in the next Candidates Tournament!

Best 2 players of the FIDE Grand Prix Series qualify for the FIDE Womenโ€™s Candidates 2026!

In the 1st round of the event we had 2 resultative games. Greek star player Tsolakidou won one of the favourites Vaishali, after a big blunder.

Assaubayeva played a dynamic game against Khademalsharieh, and managed to score a full point.
